Writing help
"How can AI help me write?"
For most people, this is the first place AI earns its keep. It is *very* good at the part of writing that hurts the most: starting.
Try it for
- Emails you've been putting off — "Help me write a polite email declining this invitation."
- Tough messages — "Help me write a kind but firm message to my landlord about the broken heater."
- Thank-you notes — birthdays, hosts, teachers, doctors.
- Tone adjustments — "Make this email less stiff." "Make this less aggressive." "Make this warmer."
- Proofreading — "Find typos and awkward phrasing in this paragraph."
A useful pattern
Write a rough version yourself, then say: *"Here's my draft. Don't change my voice — just smooth out the rough edges and fix anything unclear."*
You stay in the driver's seat. AI is the editor sitting beside you.
