Creative play

"Can it just be fun?"

Yes — and this is the part most adults skip and most kids love.

Try it for

  • Bedtime stories — "Tell my 6-year-old a 5-minute story about a brave hedgehog who learns not to be afraid of the dark."
  • Jokes — "Tell me five corny dad jokes about plumbers."
  • Poems — "Write a silly poem about my dog Biscuit, who steals socks."
  • Brainstorms — "Give me 20 wild ideas for my mom's 70th birthday party. Don't filter — go big."
  • Games — "Play 20 questions with me. You think of something."

Why this matters

The fastest way to get comfortable with AI is to play with it. Once you've laughed at it, argued with it, and asked it something silly, the fear is gone. The serious uses come naturally after.
